Creation and development at Sensor City
As part of our partnership with Autodesk and KUKA, we have created a unique interactive goalie challenge to tie in with 2018 being both a World Cup year but also the Year of the Engineer.
Before our interactive challenge goes on a UK tour, we are working collaboratively with the team at Sensor City to test the functionality of the inbuilt safety of the robot. We are using the technical resources and facilities at Sensor City to allow us fine tune the robotic challenge in a neutral environment before the it is installed within the public domain.
As artificial intelligence and robots become our day to day reality, we rely upon technology in all aspects of our lives. But will robots ever take over from people? The aim of the robotic challenge is for participants to test both their agility and accuracy against a programmed robot to determine whether the next generation of robots can really outwit humans.
Sensor City are at the forefront of driving technical innovation and making Liverpool a global hub for sensor technologies. Their purpose built technical centre has been designed to connect and support emerging and established industry partners.
