Finishing operations
Robot trimming, polishing and deburring
As well as being able to produce complete items, robots can be used to undertake a variety of finishing operations, in particular, robot trimming and drilling of moulded or pressed components
Robot trimming gives greater consistency than manual trimming as well as being quicker in most cases. In addition, reliability can be enhanced by fitting the robot with an inspection probe, initially to ensure that the part is in the correct position before cutting starts.
Other finishing operations that can be automated with robots include polishing and also robotic deburring. Therefore, replacing manual finishing improves speed and consistency. In addition, using robots eliminates the health and safety concerns resulting from demanding and repetitive manual operations.
Successful customers
How do we do it?
We have a team of technical experts who are on hand to assist with any query that our customers have. Continuous training and sector specialisms means that the CNC Robotics team are the UK leaders in rapid repairs as well as preventative maintenance.
CNCR-Live
We continue to seek innovative ways to assist clients and as a result we will soon launch our latest analytical software – CNCR-Live. Integrating real time diagnostic technology allows us to analyse the ongoing performance of systems remotely. Therefore we can predict when maintenance is required and thereby preventing failures in the production processes which can cause slowness or a shutdown. Furthermore having the facility to plan preventative maintenance and intervene accordingly has allowed us to offer an even high level of service to our clients and keeps their machines working at full capacity and high productivity.
