Our Cyber Essentials journey so far

Now more than ever businesses need to be equipped with the ability to protect themselves and their clients against cyber risks. With an increasing number of people working from home, some research has revealed that the volume of cyber-attacks on UK businesses has increased by almost a third this year.

Last year we put Cyber Essentials on our strategic roadmap as we wanted to use the platform to further develop our IT infrastructure and ensure that our workforce, critical data and business is protected from cybercrime.

The Cyber Essentials scheme is a UK government information assurance scheme operated by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC). It has widely become a key element of excellence for cybersecurity, in all its forms. The scheme applies to all sizes of organisations, from small to large, and offers help to those seeking to implement a robust data security strategy to protect both themselves and their clients.

We started our Cyber Essentials journey with the help and support from IASME who are the National Cyber Security Centre’s Cyber Essentials Partner and are pleased to have received Cyber Essentials certification.

“We’re delighted for CNC Robotics and I congratulate them for recognising the key role cybersecurity plays in any organisation. This certification is a true demonstration to their clients that CNC Robotics has considered the importance of their customers’ security as much as their own.” IASME’s Chief Executive Dr Emma Philpott, MBE advised

Businesses of all sizes need to take cyber threat seriously and take sensible steps to protect themselves against common online security threats. The Cyber Essentials scheme is just one way of starting that journey.
