The Making It Board (MIB)

The Making It Board (MIB) is a Board of the Liverpool City Region Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP).

It’s remit is to be the city region’s expert and leadership group to support and accelerate the growth, productivity and competitiveness of the Advanced Manufacturing economy in the Liverpool City Region.

Madina Barker, Director of CNC Robotics become a newly appointed member of the Board in 2019 and said –

“My expertise and strategic experience is within the Advanced Manufacturing sector and I am keen to be able to contribute to shaping regional growth and development. CNC Robotics is the UK’s leading robotics integration company specialising in advanced machining robotic systems. There is no other UK company using robotics to improve manufacturing productivity in such an innovative way and CNC Robotics remain at the forefront of automation innovation for SMEs. Demand for our skills is now worldwide, with year upon year growth in both domestic and international sales. “I am responsible for the strategic management of the business. I have actively championed the voice of SME manufacturing and have looked to engage with key UK policy makers to address local business needs in line with the government’s industrial strategy. I have held a series of regional strategy workshops with Advanced Manufacturing business owners to address such topics as productivity, recruitment and funding innovation across the sector.”

“I am delighted to be appointed as a member of the Making It Board and in partnership with other Board members I am keen to drive changes across manufacturing for the benefit of all businesses, to improve access to R&D funding, to support growth and ultimately improve outputs nationally and across the Liverpool City Region”.
