3D printing extruders designed for large scale additive manufacturing
CNC Robotics now offer CEAD’s standalone extruders and a comprehensive suite of services including extruder integrations, installations, maintenance and training. UK customers can fully leverage the potential of CEAD solutions to unlock new levels of productivity and manufacturing capabilities.
The extruders are designed to process fiber-filled thermoplastic pellets, a cost-effective material that offers high performance and quality. Key differences among the extruders lie in weight, output, and dimensions, influencing the type of robotic arm required. Higher weight typically correlates with greater output, allowing for thicker layers and faster printing, crucial for certain parts.
When considering which extruder to integrate, we encourage clients to consider factors like the purpose of the setup, part size, anticipated production demands, and the payload capacity of existing systems. Our team, in collaboration with CEAD engineers, offers analysis to determine the most suitable extruder for your application.
The Extruder
Material
compatbility
Capable of printing a wide range of materials from PP to PPS filled with carbon or glass fibres.
Range of
models
Variating in weight, output and other specifications to suit specific application requirements
Lightweight
design
Features a lightweight build for easy installation across a wide range of robots and machines.
Pellet
extrusion
High-output pellet-based extrusion, optimizing operational efficiency and part cost-effectiveness.
EXTRUDER RANGE
E25
Its light weight and high output offers a cost-effective and reliable turnkey system that can be integrated onto a wide variety of robotic arms or CNC machines.
S25
The S25 has the same screw diameter as the E25 model, but offers more material output for higher production demands or larger parts.
E40
High output pellet extruder is especially suitable for the production of large parts, when production demands are high or when interested in large format additive manufacturing.
E50
The E50 extruder currently has the highest output in the CEAD extruder portfolio. The maximum output in combination with large nozzle sizes enable large format additive manufacturing.
Extruder Upgrades
Dynamic Flow Control
The Dynamic Flow Control serves as a buffer and as an on/off switch inside the barrel. Usage of the DFC thus results in less accumulated pressure within the barrel.
Hybrid Manufacturing
Combine 3D printing and milling into one automated process. For mold making and tooling applications ideal to achieve the required surface finish.
Heated
Printbed
The heated upgrade gives you a print surface temperature of 120 °C which is ideal for materials that require more gradual cooling.
