Eidos is the software suite behind Caracol's Heron AM large format additive manufacturing (LFAM) platform. We supply, install and support Eidos with every Heron AM system, giving you full control over part programming, production monitoring and process optimisation.

Eidos Builder

Eidos Builder is the slicing and build preparation tool that turns a 3D model into an optimised part program for the robot to execute. It supports planar, angled and non-planar build strategies, full toolpath simulation with collision and singularity checks, and a material library with preset process parameters. Pre-production analysis of print time and consumables means you know what a job will cost and how long it will take before it starts.

Eidos Builder also enables hybrid manufacturing, uniting printing, scanning and machining in a single automated workflow, with no operator intervention required to switch processes. This is powered by Adaxis, a European robotics software specialist in hybrid manufacturing.

Eidos Nexus

Eidos Nexus provides live process and machine monitoring, data logging, and remote technical support — giving you visibility over a single system or an entire fleet. Features include real-time monitoring, job history and data visualisation, preventive maintenance alerts, and a management dashboard.

Eidos Nexus is available across three tiers; Lite, Advanced and AI; with the AI tier introducing smart quality reporting and predictive maintenance, powered by Matta, a London-based industrial AI company.
