Powermill Overview
PowerMill brings together a comprehensive set of tools for accurate, efficient machining. Toolpaths can be edited globally or locally without lengthy recalculations, with options to delete, limit, reverse, reorder, combine or divide entire paths or individual segments. Separate machining setups manage how parts are cut, controlling model location, collision checking against fixturing, output workplane and more for faster programming.
A range of high-efficiency roughing strategies removes material quickly while maintaining constant tool load and maximising cutter life, tailored to specific tools and materials. Rest finishing then combines pencil finishing, corner finishing and rest-boundaries to accurately identify and remove any un-machined stock left from previous operations.
